Essie - Navigate Her Review
As a kid, my mom was always on a diet, and her favorite “dessert” was Jell-O sugar-free, fat-free pudding… Which is nice, but Jell-O didn’t make sugar-free, fat-free pistachio pudding. Which is my favorite.
I will admit to wearing this color far more than I should simply because it reminds me of pistachio pudding. It is a lovely yellow-based, pastel green creme polish with a lot of shine (the photo really doesn’t do it justice!) It makes my hands look very sexy and olive-y, even though they are as pale as paper in real life.
The formula, on the other hand, is just a tad bit disappointing. It tends to be really streaky on the first two coats, forcing you to use an unnecessary third coat just to cover up the patches of visible nail underneath. Personally, I think Essie’s über skinny brushes are to blame. It’s a shame because Essie’s packaging and marketing is so cute, if the formulas were less streaky, they would probably be my favorite polish brand.
P.S., I apologize for the messy manicure. This is pre-cleanup.
